YLG’s interactive walking tour of Hillwood’s Victory District and AT&T Discovery District was full of bright lights and cool sights!
We gathered at the newly developed Victory Commons One building with Hillwood to discuss the vision of the neighborhood. Ken Reese with Hillwood shared that long ago they took ownership of the area in order to create an environment that is welcoming and engaging with its residents and hopeful new tenants in their modern and “post pandemic” upgraded office building; with plans to continue developing office space in the area.

Hillwood Urban, a Texas-based real estate developer, in partnership with Dallas Area Rapid Transit, the light-rail train system in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, has created a football field-sized park next to a newly completed, speculative office building to help lure office tenants and create a space for what could become a heavily trafficked part of the city.

The plaza will feature one acre of public green space in the heart of Victory Park.

A partnership between Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and Hillwood Urban will bring a one-acre public green space to the heart of Victory Park with the new Victory Station Plaza.
The plaza will be adjacent to the DART Victory Station with direct connectivity to DART’s transit system.

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Victory Park station, where you get off for events at American Airlines Center, has a new greenspace. Called Victory Station Plaza, it’s a one-acre public green space adjacent to the DART Victory Station and across the street from the American Airlines Center.

North Texas was one of the nation’s top commercial real estate markets in 2020, despite challenges brought on by the pandemic. And last night, D CEO held its first in-person event in over a year to honor the region’s top transactions, dealmakers, developers, and other key players.
An invite-only crowd of industry leaders gathered at Gilley’s to celebrate the 51 projects and deals and 32 professionals recognized as finalists in D CEO’s annual Commercial Real Estate Awards program.
